Knowledge Graph v2.4 Release Notes

LearningNAV Foundation||Foundation Updates

The LearningNAV Foundation is pleased to announce the release of Knowledge Graph v2.4. This update brings significant improvements to relation mapping accuracy, domain coverage expansion, and query performance for large-scale knowledge graph operations.

Key Improvements

Relation Mapping

The relation mapping system has been updated with improved bidirectional linking and transitive relation inference. This enhancement allows for more accurate knowledge traversal across multiple domains and improves the overall connectivity of the graph.

Expanded Domain Coverage

Version 2.4 introduces 2,400 new knowledge nodes across five additional domains: environmental science, linguistics, materials science, political philosophy, and ancient history. Each new node includes verified source references and cross-domain relations.

Performance Optimizations

Query response times for graph traversals of depth 3 or greater have been reduced by approximately 40% through improved indexing and caching strategies. The public API endpoint response times have also been reduced, with p95 latency now under 200ms for standard queries.

API Changes

The /knowledge/node/search endpoint now supports pagination via ?page and ?limit parameters. The previous ?offset parameter is deprecated and will be removed in v2.6. Please refer to the API documentation for migration guidance.

Data Quality

This release includes the results of a community-led data quality audit covering 8,500 knowledge nodes. Verified accuracy rate remains at 98.7%, consistent with our commitment to maintaining a trustworthy open knowledge infrastructure.

Acknowledgements

This release was made possible through the contributions of 240 community members who submitted improvements, reported issues, and participated in the review process. Special thanks to the University of Edinburgh research team for their collaboration on relation inference algorithms.
